Olivia is the mother of 4 children, a hypnobirthing teacher and holistic birth practitioner with over 20 years experience. As well as training doulas and educators with Birthing Wisdom www.birthingwisdom.co.uk , she has a private pregnancy practice near Totnes and specialises in healing Birth trauma. Olivia is the founder of Birthing Wisdom Outreach which is a not for profit supporting the Hub project, and will be providing hypnobirthing sessions and birth trauma healing sessions at the Hub. Chris Chris provides Counseling and/or Coaching sessions; and a Father's group for fathers to be and new fathers, which will have an optional Rite of Passage into Fatherhood. Chris is a father of three, he works partly as an IT specialist with mac computers; he is trained as a therapeutic counsellor & coach, he has long been involved in menswork, he's interested in martial arts, chinese philosophy, astrology and ritual; he is a keen follower of the unfolding geopolitical situation, earth changes and the mayan calander. Saffron Saffron is an experienced counsellor from Totnes who will be available for sessions at the Hub. Charlotte Charlotte is a trained birth doula who has a background in Mountasorri (check spelling). She will be co-hosting the new mother group and providing the delicious lunches at the Hub. Charlotte lives near Totnes and has 2 children. Lilah Lilah trained with Birthing wisdom as a doula, working especially with conciousness and embodiment in pregnancy. She also practices physical and lightbody therapies and specialises in trauma release. Lilah will run the pregnancy circle and birth preparation class from January. She lives just outside Totnes with her husband and son. Becky Becky is a Birthing Wisdom doula, a homeopath, and and Infant Massage Instructor. She is a mum of two, with a passionate interest in holistic healthcare in general, and helping to support women in pregnancy and birth in particular. She will be offering baby massage classes at the Totnes Hub, as well as being available for homeopathic enquiries and general support. She will be running a small stall at the Hub, selling supplements and herbal teas for birth and pregnancy, and selling and hiring out homeopathic childbirth kits. Claire Claire lives in Chudleigh with her husband and three children. She trained as a doula with Birthing Wisdom in 2009-10 and currently runs Exeter Sling Library, offering a wide range of baby slings and carriers for trial and loan. Claire also co-runs Exeter Homebirth Support Group and will be arranging regular forums with guest speakers at the Hub as well as info about slings and carriers |

Tanya has worked in healthcare for over 20 years, beginning as a physiotherapist at the Royal London Hospital in 1988 and, most recently, graduating as a practitioner of Craniosacral Biodynamics from the Karuna Institute in 2009. She has wide-ranging experience in both orthodox and complementary medicine, which affords her a unique overview of holistic well-being. She brings sensitivity, awareness & empathy to her work, a natural gift for listening & responding with clarity & compassion. Her work is informed and supported by her spiritual practice, founded in deep love and connection with the earth and the natural world. Tanya will offer low cost cranial sessions at The Hub for local families, including mothers, fathers & babies . Julia Julia's massage practice has grown out of a fusion of life experiences - massaging her parents, experiencing injury as a dancer, working as a Social Worker, having fertility treatment and becoming a mother. Julia's approach is intuitive, healing, releasing tension and anxiety, combining massage, acupressure, reiki and relaxation. Massage during pregnancy can be extremely therapeutic and throughout history has been an integral part of birth preparation. It can be of great physical and emotional benefit. Julia offers treatments at the Hub using the BumpBag, ( a large beanbag for for your whole body, with a hole for your bump) which allows you to lie on your front, side or back for total relaxation. Kirsty Kirsty is a graduate of the Devon School of Shiatsu, where she continue to assist the teaching staff. She has also done some traning in movement shiatsu. Kirsty is a member of the Shiatsu Society(MRSS), the governing body for shiatsu practitioners. And a member of the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). Kirsty has a background in drama and movement work and have been following body based practices for over fifteen years. This informs her work as a shiatsu pratitioner and means she can offer a strong presence and holding for her clients. As a mother of two, she brings her knowledge of parenthood to her work. This is particularly relevant to shiatsu during pregnancy, and in the early years of parenting. Kirsty enjoy working with women during these times and can offer deep understanding and a nurturing treatment. "Kirsty offers deep presence in bodywork and a safe, heartful space" Kirsty has a practice in Totnes, Devon where she lives with her family. Jolie Jolie is a Birthing Wisdom trained doula and birth practitioner based in Salisbury, Wiltshire where she lives with her family and works as a labour ward volunteer, and birthing families privately. Jolie is involved in the organisation of the Birthing Wisdom doula training as well as the fundraising and promotion of Birthing Wisdom Outreach projects such as the Hub. |
